Susannah Willcox
Integrative counsellorAbout Me
I’m a BACP-registered integrative counsellor based in North London. My training is integrative, which means that I draw on different ways of understanding human experience to find an approach that works best for you. My role is not to provide a diagnosis or give you solutions but to help you to re-connect with your own feelings, desires and intuitions. There may be experiences that you find difficult to put into words, or distressing to say out loud. Maybe there’s something specific troubling you, or maybe you’re aware of a general feeling of unease, anxiety, numbness or futility. At times like these, it can help to have someone alongside you.
If you're interested in finding out more, the first step is to get in touch to arrange a phone conversation or an initial session where we can get to know each other. If we both feel that the first meeting has gone well, we can arrange a time to meet regularly.

Training and qualifications
I trained at The Minster Centre, the UK’s leading institute for integrative counselling and psychotherapy. I have a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and I’m now completing a Masters in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I’m guided by their ethical framework. I’m also a member of The Relational School.
I have over ten years’ experience in research, advocacy, and social justice in the UK and Australia. As a migrant myself, I have a long-standing interest in migration and belonging. I have a PhD in climate change and international law, and I’ve worked since 2012 with people in immigration detention. This means I’ve got to know people from all walks of life who are struggling with a range of issues, including trauma, violence, displacement, discrimination, bereavement, hearing voices, self-harm, anxiety, despair, perfectionism, addiction, and more.
