Steve Harland Integrative counsellor , BS8
An approachable fully qualified BACP Registered counsellor working in central Bristol, I offer therapy aimed at seeing things from the clients perspective.
I have a wide variety of experience of helping people to overcome personal challenges and work both with individuals and couples looking to affect change in their lives.
As an integrative practitioner I work with a number of approaches that take into account your history, your development and your ways of being and experiencing, also your thoughts and the effect they may be having on the way that you feel.
Therapy is about change. It is about finding new ways of thinking and feeling and considering things. It is about having a place to go where you can feel accepted and be given the time and support that you need to work through the issues and concerns that may be causing you difficulty. You may be looking for a therapist because you have reached a crossroads and you are looking for a new direction. I can offer support to you while you work through the problems that may be affecting your sense of wellbeing.
I have worked with issues such as anger management, anxiety and stress, relationship difficulties and depression. I have also worked with addiction, sexuality and identity issues, confidence problems and work related stress. I have given support to those suffering from bereavement and loss and those who feel they have reached a crisis point. Every client is unique and brings their own concerns to therapy and it is essential that they feel heard, respected and valued as individuals.
Practicing from recognised and purpose made professional consultation rooms in Bristol's Clifton Village, I work with clients on an ongoing basis until such time as they are ready to move on.
Making contact is often the first step to a new beginning and I very much hope to hear from you.
