About me

Are you struggling but not sure where to turn? Maybe you’ve been powering through, keeping busy, putting on a brave face. But underneath it all, things just don’t feel right. You might feel constantly on edge, flat, angry, or numb. Maybe you're stuck in patterns that aren't working anymore - like shutting down, pushing people away, or turning to things that help you cope in the moment but leave you feeling worse long-term. If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone. These feelings may be the result of the build-up of stress and pressure over time but they may link back to unprocessed trauma or difficult early experiences. While addiction, burnout, or emotional shutdown can feel like personal failure, they're often the body's way of trying to survive pain that's never been given space. I specialise in working with those who want to understand what’s really going on under the surface - those who are ready to stop white-knuckling life and start living more connected, meaningful lives. A Down-to-Earth Approach to Therapy I know that starting therapy can feel daunting - especially if talking about emotions doesn’t come naturally. My approach is down-to-earth, compassionate, and tailored to suit you. Therapy doesn’t have to take place in a room or always follow a rigid format. There's no judgement; no pressure to "fix" yourself - just space to explore what's going on and what you want to change. Alongside online sessions, I offer something a little different... 🌿 Walk & Talk Therapy in Nature Spending time outdoors can help ease anxiety, unlock thoughts and feelings, and give therapy a more natural rhythm. Whether in Cumbria or the Yorkshire Dales, we walk at your pace, letting the landscape support our conversation. I offer: 👉 Regular 60 or 90 minute sessions 👉 Extended half-day or full-day sessions in Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales for those who want time to slow down, breathe, and explore more deeply, away from the noise. These longer sessions allow for deeper reflection, without the time pressure of a traditional one-hour slot. Many people find they make meaningful progress during a day or weekend of focused, nature-based therapy - sometimes more than they expected. 🌍 Online & Remote Walk & Talk Therapy If you can't meet in person, I also offer: 👉 Zoom sessions from the comfort of your home 👉 Remote Walk & Talk Therapy, where we each walk in our own local areas while connecting over audio or video call 🤝 What It’s Like to Work Together Together, we’ll explore what’s going on in a way that feels supportive, steady, and respectful of your pace. There’s no pressure to “fix” everything - just space to be real, reflect, and start reconnecting with what matters most to you. 💬 Curious but Unsure? Let’s Talk. If any of this resonates, feel free to reach out. You don’t need to have all the answers - just a willingness to take that first step. I offer a free 30 minute call to see if we’re a good fit and talk through any questions you might have.
