Existential psychotherapistAbout Me
I am an integrative psychotherapist with a particular interest in existential thinking. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy. I am currently offering online and face to face sessions at a Covid-19 secure venue in Peckham.
Practice description
As a therapist with an existential leaning, I am fundamentally concerned with what matters most to you as the client. I offer an authentic relationship and a safe space in which to explore your deepest concerns and challenges and to help clarify and deepen your understanding of how you respond to your lived experience.
Therapy is not so much about solving issues, rather an opportunity to take stock of your life, explore the paradoxes, conflicts and dilemmas and have a greater understanding of your unique way of being in the world.
Therapy tries to situate you as an agent. Becoming interested in why you act and feel the way you do facilitates a growing emotional complexity, which can enable you to move forward and come to terms with the transformative process of life.
What is the process for starting therapy?
In the first instance I offer a free 15 minute consultation over the telephone/Zoom to find out a bit more about what you are looking for and to get a sense of whether I am the right therapist for you. There is also opportunity for you to ask me anything about how I work, and what kind of therapy I offer. Should we decide to work together, our first session will be a 50-minute assessment at the concessionary rate of £40.
