I am an experienced psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist offering short (specific issue based) and long-term therapy in central London. I have experience in working with adults of all ages, cultural backgrounds and identities, supporting a variety of emotional difficulties.

My particular interest lies in the area of treating anxiety and depression.

My approach:

Simply put, the psychodynamic approach is about in-depth work that helps clients make sense of their unconscious thoughts and feelings, and understand how these might be sabotaging or impacting on their current lives.

Past experiences that have not been sufficiently processed and thought about can generate a wide range of symptoms, such as stress and mental fatigue, obsessive worries, low-self-esteem, feeling stuck and out of sync with the world, and so on.

The vital part of the process of resolving and overcoming these is having the experience of being truly seen and understood by another person. A new, wider perspective on your difficulties and struggles, together with an astute insight and supportive guidance, is something that only a good therapeutic relationship can provide.
