I have a wealth and depth of knowledge and experience in understanding physical, mental and sexual health and use this when working psychologically.

My professional career started by training and qualifying, in 1989, as a Registered General Nurse within the NHS. I initially worked in general medicine and then specialised in cardio-thoracic medicine. In 1992 I further specialised in sexual health, where I continue to work part-time.

My psychotherapy career started in 1995. After completing a four year course in 2008, I worked as an Honorary Psychodynamic Psychotherapist at WPF Therapy until I moved into private practice, where I work part-time. I offer psychodynamic counselling/psychotherapy to individuals, either short-term (12 sessions) or open-ended (ongoing).

In 2016 I trained for a further four years in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy and I offer this to both individuals and couples (couples therapy).

I am a Registered Member MBACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), The FPC (The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling) and I am also a Registered Member of COSRT (College of Sexual & Relationship Therapists) and abide by the COSRT Code of Ethics and Practice.
