Simon OsborneMindfulness psychotherapist
I have been working with clients since 2012 in a variety of settings, including a community counselling service, an addiction counselling service, a project for the homeless, and in my own private practice. I am committed to offering psychotherapy to as wide a range of people as possible. I have also run mindfulness groups for people suffering from pain and health conditions.
I trained in Core Process Psychotherapy a mindfulness- based psychotherapy. I am accredited with the UKCP and the BACP. My therapy work is informed by my own experience of therapy and by my mindfulness practice
I understand psychotherapy as a process where I would support and guide your own enquiry into your experience and life situation. I aim to create conditions in which you would experience a sense of trust and safety in the relationship so that your exploration can deepen.
I work on both short term around a particular issue and on a longer term more open-ended basis. If you decide you want to see me for sessions, I would suggest doing 6 sessions and then reviewing the work.
My practice is based in a quiet therapy room in Islington. I can also see clients at a practice centre in Golders Green, very close to the tube station.
I understand it’s important to find someone with whom you might feel comfortable working. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have and also offer an introductory meeting without charge.
