About Me

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I am currently offering telephone and zoom sessions. I believe that you don't need to be in crisis to access counselling. Seeing a therapist doesn't mean there's something 'wrong with you' it may be you feel now is the right time to work through your emotions; or to work through traumatic experiences. You may want to challenge your negative thinking patterns, or require clarity in some areas of your life. You may want to discuss something from the past that is impacting you now. It may be now is the right time for you to learn new techniques to help you to cope differently, or feel the time is right to focus on personal growth.

Counselling is an individual process which takes a unique journey that may be difficult yet rewarding. It is important that you share this journey with someone that you can feel comfortable with.

I integrate a range of different modalities into my counselling sessions, depending on what you want to achieve from the sessions. This ensures therapy is unique to each individual; each session is tailored to your needs, using a range of approaches including humanistic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, attachment therapy, transactional analysis and solution focused therapy.

Counselling can feel scary and sometimes overwhelming, and it's natural to feel this in the beginning. I provide a caring, compassionate, safe and non-judgmental environment where you can discuss whatever you feel comfortable with. Talking through difficulties can often help you to recognise your thoughts and feelings which can offer new perspectives, alleviate pain and suffering; enabling you to make informed life choices and find coping strategies, which help to create stability in life.

I can assist with a range of difficulties including depression, stress, trauma, abuse, anger, anxiety, bereavement, self-esteem, self-harm, sexual identity, family and relationship concerns and career/life choices. Whatever your reasons for attending counselling I am here to listen.

I have worked with young people, couples, families and adults on a variety of life events. I offer a sliding scale for low incomes and students, please ask for more details.
