Ruth Mark-Roland Integrative psychotherapist , SE1
‘Life is difficult’ as M Scott Peck said. We all strive towards happiness, success and lives that are well lived. Yet at times we become overwhelmed by events and feel unable to cope with life as it is and want to change it in some way.
Most of us are not taught how to handle uncomfortable feelings and emotions so we stuff them away. The accumulation of unresolved emotions can become a stumbling block and feel very stressful. In times like this a compassionate supportive relationship can offer insight and understanding to assist you in finding a way through the dark tunnel of distress.
If you find yourself feeling worn down by life’s challenges or a major event has left you feeling overwhelmed and unable to cope, I provide a constructive and restorative space to explore your strengths and values, to empower you to progress you towards the future you desire.
My work with clients focuses on helping them understand how their past impacts their present. I enable clients to move forward by engendering a deeper understanding of self. I have extensive experience and training in working with sexuality, trauma, attachment issues, meaning-of-life questions, and substance abuse. I use a solution-focused, strengths-based approach to move efficiently to higher functioning.
I am committed to your personal growth, to help you appreciate yourself for the unique individual that you are, in an open, warm and empathic environment that allows you to learn about yourself.
