Robert Holman Psychodynamic counsellor , W1W
I offer face-to-face counselling in a safe, quiet space in the heart of central London. I also offer online therapy. Fees start at £55 per session.
There are many reasons why people seek time and space to talk and reflect.
You might want to talk about thoughts and feelings that are difficult to discuss with others, or consider what has happened to bring you to this point in your life. This can be a space for exploration and discovery, a protected hour in which you will be listened to.
I provide time and space for you to talk and reflect. My focus is on listening openly, without judgment, to whatever you bring. I will listen to your experiences and your point of view and together we can look at different perspectives which can help you to live more freely.
I am particularly interested in what goes on beneath the surface of our lives – our dreams and fantasies, how and why we do certain things without realising, or why patterns keep repeating in life without us being aware of them.
I am qualified and experienced to work with adults with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, difficulties concerning identity, relationships, sexuality, and a sense of meaning and place in the world. I welcome people who hear voices, or experience distressing thoughts or beliefs.
I offer prospective clients an initial meeting where we can discuss what has brought you to therapy at this time. Together we can explore your expectations and what you want to get from therapy. If we decide to work together we may arrange to meet for an agreed number of sessions, or we may work in a more open-ended way.

I have a particular interest in psychoanalysis and have completed courses with the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research (CFAR), the Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis, and the British Psychotherapy Foundation.
