My name is Richard Demwell and I am a registered and Accredited counsellor and psychotherapist based in Southwark.

I understand that deciding to seek therapy can be a daunting prospect. My work is with adults of all ages, offering short-term counselling and longer term, open-ended psychotherapy. I have many years of experience of providing counselling and psychotherapy in different organisational settings. These include working for several years within an NHS psychotherapy department, a charity setting and within a university student counselling service. More recently I have worked as a counsellor with older adults in a charity, gaining considerable experience of working with older people transitioning into retirement and issues concerned with aging. I am also experienced in providing clinical assessments for therapy.
