Rhiannon Robertson Integrative psychotherapist , N1
Hello, I'm Rhiannon, a qualified relational integrative therapist. This means that the relationship between client and therapist lies at the heart of my practice. I place huge importance on building a supportive and trusting relationship, where I encourage honest and open feedback from my clients. I very much view therapy as a collaborative process, where both therapist and client contribute.
As an integrative therapist I am trained in three main therapeutic approaches; humanistic, cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic. This allows me to adapt my way of working to each client’s individual needs.
The idea of therapy can be a daunting one. Sharing difficult experiences, fears, hopes and expectations with a complete stranger sounds like an odd concept. Yet therapy is unique in that it provides a non-judgemental, safe, supportive and open-minded space, where there are no distractions and the focus is entirely on you and your needs. In our busy everyday lives, that opportunity to stop, reflect and be truly heard often alludes us.
You may be considering therapy for various reasons, be that relationship issues, trauma, bereavement, anxiety, stress, or you may feel stuck and unable to harness your full potential. In all these instances therapy can help to unpack your difficulties and gain a new perspective and clarity on a situation.
My role is not to give advice but to sit alongside you whilst you explore your emotional world. I aim to help you to understand your motivations and patterns of behaviour, in order to build resilience and better manage the contradictions of life. I believe it's through acceptance and our willingness to learn from our past and present experiences, that we can begin to be our most genuine self.
