Raquel MoyaIntegrative counsellor
If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, abuse, bereavement, anger or relationship issues, I can support you by offering a non-judgmental and confidential environment where you feel safe to talk and explore the feelings behind the issues that may be stopping you from moving forwards with your life.
I understand that it might be uncomfortable to get some help and talk about your struggles and uncomfortable feelings, both past and present, in therapy. However, sharing your concerns with a compassionate and understanding therapist can encourage you to be in charge of your own healing process.
I have extensive experience of working with a diverse range of clients and issues.
My areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, low confidence, anger and bereavement.
My early professional background is in social work supporting a wide range of clients such as asylum seekers, survivors of rape, bullying and abuse, adults with anxiety, depression, work and relationship issues and learning disabilities. I have over 15 years experience in supporting adults and young people suffering from drug addiction and young mothers suffering from postnatal depression. My dealings with my clients have given me a greater understanding of the difficulties faced in people’s everyday lives. I draw on this experience when working with my clients.
I am a Therapeutic Counsellor who practices an integrative approach based on a wide variety of methods and expertise that can help you access your strengths and abilities to overcome your challenges.
I hold a Level 4 diploma in Therapeutic Counseling and, as a part of my training, I worked in the IAPT service for South London and Maudsley NHS. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and hold their Certificate of Proficiency and comply with their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I am eligible and insured to work with adults, both face-to-face, online and over the phone.
I currently run my own private practice and work for a mental health charity in London. I offer short- term or long term counselling.
OnlineI also provide my services online.
