Rachel Elton
Integrative counsellorAbout Me
Hello, I'm Rachel, I am an integrative counsellor and coach.
I work with young people and adults from diverse backgrounds and draw on different tools and modalities to best suit each individual according to their needs. Talking forms the foundation of my work, but I weave in many practices, such as play, art and mindfulness. I also use movement at times to drop deeper into the wisdom of the body and work with it as a means of gentle inquiry and expression.
I hold a space of compassion, curiosity, presence and non-judgement where my clients can explore all parts of themselves safely to bring greater awareness and integration into their inner and outer worlds.
I bring ten years’ experience as a qualified youth worker, working with vulnerable young people from wide ranging communities and in a variety of settings, both in the public and third sector and nationally and internationally.
Developing my professional practice and deepening into my own healing and spiritual path have intertwined and profoundly taught me of the potential we all have to tap into our innate resources and gifts to transform our lives, whatever challenges we are facing.
I work both in person and online.
I run my practice from two wellbeing centres in North London (East Finchley and Islington), both are well connected and easily accesible by bus/ tube.
I offer both short and long term therapy.
I often move between counselling and coaching as the work progresses. I find this enables clients to make practical steps, where they can draw on the therapeutic process to move forward.
I will tailor the approach according to your needs and this will always be in collaboration.
