About Me

Hi - I'm Pierluigi, but everyone calls me Pier. Nice to meet you!

I have spent the past decade studying and working around the world in fields such as psychology, education, communication, marketing, and screenwriting; all with one core life purpose and passion: helping people connect to the world around them and be their best selves. Counselling and coaching helped me find a closer, individual way to accomplish this.

I bring to my work in our sessions all my experiences in different work paths, cultural environments, immigration adjustments to shape for you a unique support that blends vocational and motivational psychology with mental health counselling.

What's your purpose?  What's holding you back that's in your control? What's beyond your control that you can take to redesign your life career? You are worthy of joy and pride just by being you. I can help you discover and understand better your characteristics, feelings, talents and skills to start wearing that captain hat you deserve, no matter what boat you're sailing with.

We all have the chance to grow into a life and career that will give us joy and accomplishment.

But daily life and struggles can make it really hard to prioritise this and find the way through. I'm here to help you do that in a safe, judgement-free, patient, and fun environment.

A little bit more about me: I was raised in Italy, where my interest in other cultures, languages and people developed a particular eye for storytelling that landed in a BA in Film Studies. I worked as a screenwriter to then advance in advertising where my communication strategies and campaigns won international awards and led me to opportunities to travel around the globe. Continuing my exploration of storytelling, I moved to Peru, mastering Spanish and teaching in a prestigious private university. As one of the youngest faculty members, I established a great rapport with students and started to think of a way to turn his passion for helping others into a deeper professional path such as Counselling Psychology. I chose New York to continue my journey in one of the most diverse cities in the world whilst anchoring my training in a pioneer institution like Columbia University. I speak and conduct my sessions and workshops in English, Italian, and Spanish.

I offer a limited number of reduced-fee sessions to workers and freelancers in the entertainment industry of film, theatre, television, and music.

Please contact me to have a free-of-charge preliminary conversation to get to know each other and understand what kind of work we can do together.
