Olivia Phillips Integrative psychotherapist , W6
My approach as a therapist is integrative which means I adapt (humanistic, psychodynamic and/or CBT) to my clients to get to the root cause of their pain. I work in a collaborative way which includes exploring the childhood to understand current patterns and behaviors to achieve awareness.
With a background in creative marketing, working for corporations in New York, London and Dublin, I understand the stress of moving to new cities and working in a demanding career but also the importance of collaboration to achieve goals. As a result, the foundation of my work is the relationship I create with my clients, as it is through this relationship that awareness is achieved.
I currently work as a high intensity therapist for the NHS where I see clients presenting with a broad range of issues, such as trauma, addiction, anxiety and depression. I therefore have seen first hand the power of the mind-body connection, as the body can talk to us through illness and disease, especially if there has been trauma.
I am a member of the British Association for Counseling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and adhere to their ethical framework.
