Noemi RanPsychodynamic counsellor
Life has its ups and downs and when things become difficult we get to a point when we are unable to cope with everything. Maybe you have never had therapy before, or maybe you are quite familiar with it, whatever your experience is, it is important to reach out because sometimes we just cannot do it alone. You may need someone to listen to you without judgement, someone who can wonder and ask you questions that no one has ever asked, someone to help you think of a different perspective or just someone to be there and support you through a difficult time.
I m a psychodynamically trained counsellor, I have a Masters degree in counselling. I have over 7 years of clinical experience working with adult clients. I am accredited member of BACP and abide by their code of Ethics.
In the past I have worked as a counsellor for Highgate counselling centre and Nafsiyat and also as staff counsellor at University of Cambridge.
Over the years I have become interested in fertility/infertility issues, pregnancy and miscarriage. I have completed a BICA foundation course for infertility counselling.
Psychodynamic counselling is a counselling method which involves making discoveries about yourself. It aims to bring the unconscious into the conscious awareness so that you can gain some insight and understanding into what is going on in your life or what is troubling you.
Talking about past experiences may be very painful and difficult at times. During therapy we together seek to understand how current emotional and psychological difficulties can have their origin in thoughts and feelings that are unconscious to you and may be located somewhere in past childhood experiences.
Psychodynamic therapy is considered one of the more long-term therapy types. It is a gradual process which takes time.
