Person-centred/humanistic therapistAbout Me
My counselling service is primarily aimed toward men and creating a space where men can feel safe and supported to work through their issues. It is often a misconception that 'men don't talk', but rather that men don't know that counselling can be for them too.
Some of the reasons men come to counselling include;
- Sex or Relationship Issues
- Gay and bisexual issues or struggling to come out
- Work Issues
- Bullying, verbal, emotional or physical
- Issues at work
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Coming to terms with loss, bereavement
- Struggling to live an authentic life
From time to time we often feel unable to move on or shift our patterns of behaviour that start to have an affect on our own wellbeing and that of those around us. Our relationships may start to breakdown or we feel unable to be in one all together. We can be finding ourselves isolated, overwhelmed and misunderstood.
It can be hard to work through all this alone, and by being in therapy we can work together in a safe, non judgemental, confidential space where we will work toward building a genuine trusting relationship together. In this supportive, confidential atmosphere you can begin to develop your own stronger sense of self, work on your issues and build a greater sense of self worth. This will then allow you to start making the right choices which will lead to the changes you need to live a more fulfilling, authentic life.
Therapy can be effective in helping you;
- Have a better understanding of yourself
- Lead to you having more peace of mind and acceptance
- Encourage you make better decisions going forward
- Help you develop new tools to cope better and to let go of unhealthy behaviour patterns
- Help you develop your skills for improving relationships with others
- Lead to a more fulfilling, authentic, happier and open life
I offer both short and long term therapy. If you would like to make an appointment to meet please get in touch.
