About Me

Hi and welcome to my profile page. My name is Milena and I'm a qualified, BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered integrative therapist. I integrate different approaches and adapt them to suit your specific needs and circumstances. Above all - I am a person with an authentic human presence. I value individual difference, otherness and uniqueness of the experience.

There are times in life when you may want to share with someone what you are experiencing, to be heard and understood and at the same time to listen to yourself, understand your emotions and thoughts. I might not have all the answers to your questions, however, I can empower you to find your own.

The connection between our two authenticities can serve as a vehicle for change in your life and help you to find your own path. I will respect you, your individuality and unique ways of being. It will not be uncomfortable for me to sit with you in your chaos, tolerate your stuckness and walk alongside you through dark places.

If you think that I might be someone who you would like to share your thoughts, feelings and experiences with, then you can expect from me to help you to:

Find a strength to 'get up and carry on' and feel you are listened to and understood when no one else seems to be there for you.

Find a new perspective of looking on things.

Talk openly without fear of being judged.

Identify unhelpful coping strategies and replace them with more helpful ones.

Recognise difficult feelings and find ways to live with them.

Change the patterns of behaviour as a result of emotional triggers.

Find a way to release feelings of stuckness and move on.

Relax and gain more effective sleeping patterns.

Understand how your anxiety works so you understand why you feel the way you feel. That, in turn, can help you to break the vicious circle of anxiety that just makes things worse.

Clear the fog, despair and feeling of hopelessness and find clarity and hope.

Develop greater self-awareness.

I have experience of working with London mental health charity organisations for more than 5 years, IAPT services and the private mental health sector for 2 years. My experience includes but is not limited to dealing with:

low self-esteem

relationship difficulties

parenting issues

suicidal thoughts

sleep issues
