Michelle Dykstra
Psychoanalytic psychotherapistAbout Me
My approach is psychoanalytic, with an emphasis on the meaningful relationship between the patient and the analyst, who curiously engage with the painful problem, symptom, or difficult behaviour. Both client and therapist work together to make valuable improvements to the client’s emotional world, within a stable, consistent setting.
I am the senior psychotherapist at the Portland Practice, a psychotherapy practice in Harley Street, Central London. At the Portland Practice we offer psychotherapy tailored to the individual and private needs of every patient. We spend time carefully considering the most appropriate course of therapy, providing a therapeutic response to avoid conflicting with either work or private concerns.
