Melissa McGrath Psychosynthesis counsellor , SE1
The current state of the world with Coronavirus will most likely be impacting you in some way and this might be why you are seeking counselling at this time. It might also be raising other issues around anxiety and depression that have become more problematic due to the stresses of the lock down and changes to society as we know it. Things are uncertain and unsettling and I would like to hear from you to talk about what is coming up. During this time I am only able to work online, but hope to get back to in person sessions in the future and will be based at London Bridge and East Dulwich whilst also continuing online where requested.
Counselling is a space for you to talk about anything that is coming up for you and that you would like to make more sense of. Working with me would be completely confidential and I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you to talk openly. Counselling can help you learn how to manage your feelings and make use of your own resources to find solutions. I work from a transpersonal perspective taking your history into account whilst also looking inward at your potential. I work as a guide to help you find what motivates you, what holds you back, and how to reconnect to your self. Psychosynthesis is the model of psychotherapy I am qualified in and it is a creative model that uses a wide range of techniques including guided visualisations and drawing should you be interested in this. I work creatively with techniques that I can adapt to assist each client on an individual level to find some understanding of what is coming up in their lives to cause them distress.
If you are struggling to make sense of your world and would like to talk I would be glad to hear from you to discuss how we might work together and wish you well in these unprecedented times.
