Integrative therapistAbout Me
***I am currently unable to schedule meetings with new clients. This can change quickly, so feel free to get in touch if you would like me to get back to you when I have availability.***
I am a BACP registered counsellor offering short-term and long-term counselling for adults, working from an established shared practice in Chorlton, South Manchester.
Whether you are dealing with anxiety or depression, trying to come to terms with difficult events, or struggling to make desired changes in your life or relationships, I believe that our problems, and the best ways of working towards overcoming them, are as unique as we are.
So I offer a personalised and responsive counselling service which is tailored to your problems, needs, and preferred ways of working and is focused on making progress towards where you want to be.
I can work with you to more clearly map out where you are and how you'd like things to be different, and offer suggestions of how we could work towards the changes you want. I will then guide and support you in doing the work you feel most useful and relevant, whilst regularly encouraging us to check the direction of our work matches your goals.
Some examples of ways of working in counselling are practical problem solving, reflection on painful experiences, developing coping strategies, exploring strong emotional reactions, homework exercises/experiments, and considering personal values and meaning, among many other possibilities.
I have experience in working with problems relating to depression, anxiety, work-related stress, bereavement, life transitions, anger, relationship issues, low self-confidence, and the after-effects of abuse and violence, among other issues.
