About Me

Welcome to LJB Counselling Services.  My name is Louise Burnop, I am a qualified Humanistic Counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapy. My private practice is at my home, where i strive to offer a comfortable, safe and therapeutic environment.  I love what I do and believe working alongside with my clients is so important. I work from my heart  whilst always respecting boundaries.

I really believe that the first and most important step in your recovery is finding the therapist who is right for you. A comfortable connection between client and counsellor  as research has shown most influences the success of therapy.

I believe counselling is a process unique to each of us, which provides a regular time and place to explore the difficulties you are experiencing and the associated emotional and mental state in a safe, supportive and dependable environment.

My aim is to help you to understand your problem more clearly, feel in control of your life and find your own solution. It is an enormous step entering therapy, whether it is for the first time or not.

My training is in humanistic counselling which focuses on self-development and taking responsibility for ourselves, helping individuals recognise their strengths and choices in the here and now.

I use different approaches, depending on what will be the best fit for you. Together we can work out what you feel comfortable with .  I strive to walk alongside you on your journey, always bearing in mind that everyone is an individual.
