Lisa Mayall Psychosynthesis counsellor , N3
I am a Senior BACP Counsellor with Clinical experience spanning 20 years. I can support you through what may be a difficult time in your life, to help you manage life better and to increase your self confidence and clarity so you can move forwards.
I have a special interest in particular in supporting people with Anxiety, Low Mood and with Relationship and Confidence issues.
You may be struggling with a particular problem or feeling lonely, sad, depressed, panicky, overwhelmed, flat, or perhaps frustrated or irritable a lot of the time.
It may be a relationship that’s failing or that you are recognising the same patterns playing out in your life. It’s possible you’ve tried coping on your own and talked to family and friends for support but you still feel stuck and distressed.
Perhaps together we can build up your understanding of yourself - to identify what is going on for you and to help you clarify the changes you want to make in your life and to talk through how you are going to be able to do that.
In therapy we can sometimes reflect on the past in order to make sense of what your're going through today. Understanding how your potential may be held back through your past experiences or what you may need to let go of or to reclaim to be happier... However, the focus is on where you are now and where and how you want to be...
I offer a warm and empathic listening ear to support you and together we can talk about practical ways to help you so you can live a more fulfilling, happier life - functioning in the way you want to be operating.
I work with people in:
- Short Term Counselling - to support you with your current struggles and to help you in an empathic and practical way to understand yourself better and feel more able to cope in your life.
- Long Term Counselling - for historical and deeper seated issues.
To support you in:
- Understanding your Anxiety, Worries and Stress and exploring ways to manage panic and concerns.
- Low Mood, Sadness and Depression.
- Endings, Loss and Bereavement.
- Relationship issues.
- Childhood and historic issues.
- Couples Counselling.
- Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem issues.
