About Me

I am an experienced psychotherapist and supervisor. I also teach trainees, have been the deputy chair of a psychotherapy training and referrals school, and a mentor for trainees.

I am here to get to know you and relate to you on a one to one level. My clinical experience and theoretical knowledge facilitate this process. I am fully aware that psychotherapy can be very daunting to start for many people. Part of my training has been to have my own psychotherapy so I know what it's like to face the challenge of placing your trust in a professional who may, or may not, 'get' you in the way you need.

I work with people with eating disorders, depression, sexual conflicts, addiction issues, parenting challenges, bipolar disorder, self-worth challenges, social anxiety, and bereavement, experiences of racism and sexism (and other kinds of prejudice) amongst many others (I began in 2003). I provide both full fee sessions and reduced fee ones where required.

My consulting room is safe, comfortable and homely. You will find couches to sit or lie on, comfortable cushions, and of course, tissues! All my work is confidential and carried out with compassion, tolerance, and respect. I abide by The Bowlby Centre's and the UKCP's Code Of Ethics.
