About Me

Throughout our lives, we are often faced with challenges and need someone to talk to who won't judge us or offer advice. We might be having difficulty in our relationships, stressed at work, have health issues or have noticed some patterns in our lives that don't seem very helpful.

It can be daunting to open up these conversations, but counselling can offer you the space to talk through whatever is happening in your life with someone who won't judge you or tell you what to do. Counselling is very much a collaborative process, and as your counsellor I will work with you to explore your challenges in a way that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.

About me:

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. This means I am trained in a variety of approaches and use these to develop an approach that is tailored to each individual client. Primarily, I work within a humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural framework. I believe the relationship between client and counsellor is the key to working through what is happening for the client, and will always be led by what the client brings to a session.

As a BACP registered counsellor, I adhere to the BACP Ethical Guidelines. My sessions last 50 minutes and are treated with confidentiality. Sessions are held at premises in central Richmond, in a large office building meaning discretion is assured. The space is easily reachable by Richmond station and several bus routes.

Next steps:

Choosing a therapist can be a difficult process. In an initial session, we would work together to explore what it is you want from therapy, and then decide on our next steps from there. It is important to me that the client feels happy with their choice. If you have any queries, please do get in touch.

Training and qualifications

I began counselling clients in 2008, and have experience with both short and long term therapy.

I have worked in an educational setting, and in charitable organisations across the UK providing low cost counselling to the community. My experiences in these agencies allowed me to work with a variety of individuals who were experiencing many different challenges.

I hold an MSc in Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Greenwich. I also hold a Bachelor of Social Work from Monash University, Australia.
