About Me

I am an experienced and BACP Accredited psychodynamic psychotherapist, experienced in working with a wide range of life issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems and family difficulties, loss and bereavement.

Do you find yourself feeling disconnected, or as though the life you are living is not your own? Perhaps you feel dissatisfied or unhappy, in a crisis or seeking resolution for a particular difficulty.

I will listen to you carefully and thoughtfully, and provide an empathic space where you can freely unravel, explore and understand your feelings, thoughts and experiences.

Beginning the process of psychotherapy can be daunting and confusing. I offer a FREE 10 minute phone consultation where you can explain a little about your reasons for seeking psychotherapy and what you might hope to gain, and I can answer questions you may have about the process. Please call me on 07905 409 517 or send an email and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

How I Work

My approach is psychodynamic: the psychodynamic model holds the view that our current difficulties and struggles can have origins in earlier times of our lives, particularly during childhood, and that the mind conceals or retains experiences, feelings or memories which may be too painful or difficult for the conscious mind to process.

I will work with you to not only explore your conscious thoughts, feelings and experiences, but also those you may not be fully aware of, but which may be having an impact on your adult life. These could be unhelpful or repetitive patterns of thought or behaviour, or beliefs or ideas you may hold about yourself.

I offer you the chance to gain valuable self-expression and reflection on your life, to more fully understand yourself, past experiences and relationships, ultimately allowing you to live a life that feels more genuine, connected and meaningful.

Location

My practice in Hackney is a 10 to 15 minute walk from Homerton and Hackney Central overground stations, and served by a wide range of bus routes.
