About Me

I am a registered BACP member and abide by their code of ethics.  I am psychotherapeutic counsellor providing counselling in Kentish Town or by zoom.

I have worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years, supporting people with their self esteem and mental health in a variety of settings.  I qualified as a psychotherapeutic counsellor in 2016 and have over 700 hours working with my clients.

Is there an area of your like that you are not entirely happy about?  Talking to someone who is independent, impartial and empathetic can help you make sense of what is going on for you.

Whatever you are going through, whether it is Self esteem and confidence, anxiety, depression, bereavement or relationship issues, talking with a counsellor can help you make the right decisions for you.

I have worked with bereavement, depression, abuse (sexual, physical, emotional and financial) anxiety, addiction and stress. My main interests and expertise are helping people through significant change, working to realise their potential and working towards self acceptance.

I am also a practitioner of mindfulness and meditation and always endeavour to work holistically. I very much enjoy relating with clients from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I offer my clients strict confidentiality and a quiet and a comfortable place for self reflection.

Practice description

I aim to be a caring and empathetic witness to your life.  I work holistically taking on board a number of different theoretical framework.  The theories I use are:

Psychodynamic - reflects upon how you experienced your past and how it impacts your present.

Humanistic - allows you to focus on your feelings in the here and now.

At the centre of this is the therapeutic relationship we can build together, so you feel free to be open and find your own solutions

My first session

The first session is an opportunity to ask me any questions you may have about how I work.  I will also ask why you feel you need counselling at this time.

In preparation for the first session, I will ask you to complete an assessment form so that I can support you as much as possible.  This is kept strictly confidential.
