Jenny Freeman
Person-centred/humanistic psychotherapistAbout Me
Hi, my name is Jenny Freeman and I am trained in delivering Person-Centred, Humanistic and Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling. Originally from New Zealand, I have lived in the UK now for 21 years.
I work remotely, nationwide using telephone and Zoom, with clients from all walks of life and with a wide range of issues.
I will work alongside you to try to understand what is at the root of your distress, for issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, loss, relationship difficulties and self esteem.
Often mental distress can overshadow every part of life. My aim is to help reduce suffering, to find deeper understanding, to find healthy ways to cope, to place a high value on your mental health and to explore what else might be possible within the constraints of day-to-day life. I offer acceptance and a non-judgemental ear where you needn't feel embarrassed to talk about issues that are human.
I am happy to help clients explore their deeper meanings about what is important in life, if they choose to. Being a person-centred therapist, it is never my aim to impose my own beliefs on others. I am comfortable to explore the beliefs that help you in your life, whilst my own spiritual understanding leans towards ideals of peacefulness, acceptance and mindfulness.
Working with adults 16 and over, I also work specifically with clients in addiction recovery, and with their friends and family members. I also offer lower cost daytime slots to students.
Why not get in touch to arrange a no-obligation telephone call.
This call is designed to see if we may be well-suited to working together. I work remotely UK-wide on the phone or on Zoom, so you can fit therapy easily into your life.
I have a strong belief in our ability to heal and to overcome, no-matter what has gone before. Our past experiences need not define us.
Whatever brings you to counselling, I offer to listen deeply and attempt to understand your world, in your words. We will discover how best to approach your challenges together, so please get in touch to see if I am the right person to help.
If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to give me a call or send me an email, I will get back to you as soon as I can.
