About Me

Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. I offer a safe space for you to heal, grieve, explore, and figure out what’s next. I work with clients in-person in Hackney and Shoreditch/City of London.

Therapy can help you gain insights into the difficulties you’re currently facing, better understand your motivations and behaviours, and enable you to bring about change to grow and find the way forward in your life.

Perhaps you’ve arrived at therapy through a sense of feeling “stuck”, a traumatic life crisis (past or present), or something else entirely.

Whatever your reasons, I admire your decision to seek help, as taking the first step can be difficult.

My training is integrative, meaning I draw on numerous ‘schools’ of therapy and psychological theory tailored to your needs at any given time. Alongside talk therapy, where appropriate, I also utilise creative modalities, including mindfulness, breathwork, visualisation, imagery, archetypes, dream exploration, journaling, and art materials.

By bypassing the rational mind, these creative practices can often unlock and powerfully shift things in ways that talk therapy alone cannot.

I am American by birth – and a Londoner for more than two decades – and value an open, direct approach underpinned by genuine warmth and care. Our sessions will be a non-judgemental place for you to bring all aspects of yourself – even those you may have previously kept hidden, whether consciously or unconsciously.

I welcome you fully and look forward to walking alongside you on your therapeutic journey!

Fees

I see individual therapy clients privately on Monday and Thursdays.

Initial consultation: £50 for a 50-minute session. We will use this time to get to know each other in an informal, conversational setting.

Weekly sessions: Should we choose to continue, my reduced rate is £50* per 50-minute weekly session.
*NB: This is a reduced rate as I am currently in the process of completing my accreditation with UKCP.

Training and qualifications

I have been seeing individual clients for more than three years and currently work in-person with private clients on Mondays and Tuesdays.

I am an advanced trainee psychotherapist in the final months of my five-year training as a psychotherapist at the Centre of Counselling and Psychotherapy (CCPE). I also hold a Foundation in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Regents College.

I have also worked with clients at HQ Therapy, Headstrong Counselling, and FreshStart Psychotherapy. I have also worked as a consultant assessor conducting intake sessions with prospective therapy clients.

Previously, I supported individuals at the Maytree Respite Centre (clients experiencing suicidal ideation) and at Choices Islington (clients facing unplanned pregnancies and new motherhood).

I have experience working with a wide variety of physical and emotional issues including anxiety, panic attacks and depression, grief and bereavement, pregnancy loss, body image issues, loneliness, suicidal ideation, sexual assault and trauma, lack of motivation, low self-worth, and self-esteem. I have an interest in life transitions, such as pregnancy, divorce, midlife, and retirement.

I am LGBTQ+ friendly.

I am also a trainee therapist member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a student member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
