About Me

  •
  • My Broxbourne Practice is currently fully booked. However, I have two spaces remaining in Cenral London.
  • Are you feeling unhappy with your relationship or unfulfilled in your career or personal life? Maybe you’re feeling stuck in a cycle of behaviour that you would like to find freedom from.
Please do not struggle alone, I can help.
Therapy can be an opportunity for you to address your difficulties and overcome the barriers that have prevented you from feeling fulfilled. I strive to create a safe working atmosphere in which you can express and explore your true concerns without feeling pressured or judged.  My therapeutic style is interactive and engaging. Sharing your personal struggle with another person takes courage but with support and guidance, therapy can help you make enduring changes towards a greater sense of empowerment and a more purposeful life.

Since opening my private  practice in 2010 I've been assisting clients in making positive life changes by helping them cultivate greater self-awareness and emotional flexibility. Although we start with the here and now, unresolved issues from the past create obstacles that hold people back and cause them to feel "stuck." Together in therapy, I can help you identify and work through these underlying issues. Through the therapeutic process, symptoms of negative thought patterns begin to lift, making it possible to develop inner peace and emotional freedom, stronger self-esteem, and more fulfilling relationships with self and others.
My approach is informed by humanistic, psychodynamic and behavioural therapy. but most of all being human!
I also teach stress management and relaxation techniques.
I have recently had therapy sessions with Jane. I immediately felt at ease with her and felt that the environment was, safe, secure, trustworthy and comforting. Jane has a lovely nature and professionalism that is second to none. She has helped me to address my personal issues and unlock a lifetime of thought patterns/behaviours, I will be forever grateful." MJ, London.

After a traumatic marriage break up which left me as a single parent to my 6 year old daughter and trying to resurrect my business to climb out of debt, I had reached rock bottom. I lost all my confidence and spent my evenings drinking too much wine. I knew I had to do something about getting my head in the right place to start living again and Jane was fantastic. The first few sessions I spent sobbing into the tissues, which surprised me as I didn’t realise how much emotion I had bottled up for the best part of 2 years. Jane was calm and a good listener, whilst still managing to coax out of me deep rooted feelings but in a caring way so I felt able to talk. I left the sessions feeling calmer and over the following few weeks have managed to cope with situations much better to the point where I feel my “mojo” is back. MJ,Surrey

Through my private practice, I have a number of services available, including, individual therapy, workshops, bespoke six week programmes for emotional eating, employee assistance programmes and couples counselling.

If you are looking to make positive changes to your life or that of your employees lives but are uncertain of how to proceed, I am pleased to offer a free twenty minute telephone/online consultation.

Appointments are available in Central London, City of London, EC2, Broxbourne, Hertfordshire also online .

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Counselling as well as many other qualifications in other areas of counselling.

Every client’s needs are unique my sessions are therefore tailored to each individual.  With sessions lasting for a 50 minute period, usually taking place once a week, the length of the commitment to counselling is determined by the Therapist and client on an on-going basis.

I have worked within mental health since 2001 and before setting up my own counselling practice in 2010, I was an  individual and group addiction therapist  at a private rehabilitation facility. I also lead workshops for Men and Women who want to find freedom from emotional and binge eating.

I have now maintained my weight loss for a year. I genuinely don’t believe that I could go back to my old eating habits having learned so much about the reasons why I used to over eat.Jane and the work shops have been invaluable to me and have literally changed my life. I could not recommend anyone more highly. If you’re reading this then go for it!  JE, Herts

Through a recent work situation ,I didn’t let my old negative thoughts run away with me and felt confident in my ability.

Thank you so much for your help, with out you, I wouldn’t be in the position I am now.

    DD, Herts.

“Having worked with Jane for the same organisation over a number of years, I know how
committed and passionate Jane is about mental and physical health and well being for all people, particularly those from vulnerable groups. She engaged with service users (clients) with empathy and in a non judgemental manner, building a firm foundation of trust and ensuring that in the relationships she developed with clients their views were respected, their dignity and confidentiality maintained and positive outcomes identified in their own recovery journey. From my experience,  I would like to recommend Jane's ability to provide a safe and holistic environment where people can begin to express and work through some of their difficult and/or complex issues. She is indeed a true role model in the therapeutic field." LB,Herts

“Jane demonstrates commitment and sensitivity to her work with clients, enhanced by her depth of experience of working with vulnerable adults and a commitment to continued personal development.” RP,Glos.

“I have worked with Jane and she showed an excellent aptitude for Counselling. I have no hesitation in recommending Jane as I have had 1st hand experience of her many abilities relating to Counselling.” ER,Herts.
