About Me

Hello, My name is James and I am an integrative therapist based in Marylebone. I support clients who are looking for a compassionate, confidential, and non judgemental space to explore difficult thoughts and feelings. I currently offer discounted Zoom sessions for £60 (online video counselling).

I provide a safe space in which clients can explore and process a range of difficult issues, thoughts and feelings. Sessions with me tend to be open, explorative and client led. I look to help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves. I believe that a deeper understanding of how and why we see ourselves the way we do, can be empowering and can offer the opportunity for new perspectives and ways of relating.

Particular areas of experience include; self-esteem & self-compassion, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, work related issues, interpersonal relationships, childhood difficulties and finding meaning.

It is important to find the right counsellor/psychotherapist for you. Someone with whom you feel comfortable and safe to explore difficult thoughts and feelings. In our first appointment you will have the chance to share your concerns and experience what working with me might be like. We will also discuss your prior experiences with therapy, your expectations for our work and discuss the way in which we can work together if you choose to continue. You will then be able to decide if we are a good fit and if I am the right person to support you.

My approach is an integrative one. I integrate between the Psychodynamic and Person Centred modalities. This means that our work can include exploring the past and how it influences how you feel and relate in the present (psychodynamic), and also an exploration of the "here and now".

In private practice I only work with a small number of clients at any one time. I follow the BACP code of ethics in all my client work.
