Jacqui Fisher
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
I work as an integrative psychotherapist from within a humanistic framework, drawing on ideas and theories about the human condition that feel best suited to meet the individual needs of the individual client. From this stance I take the view that everyone has their own unique and personal journey to make and am committed to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which all clients can begin to undertake a personal exploration of the problems, difficulties and dilemmas they are currently experiencing and find to be impacting upon their life. Sometimes these are related to long-standing difficulties and other times to sudden changes in circumstances, frequently it can be both.
I undertake both short, time-limited and longer-term therapy with the aim of helping clients to make sense of who and where they are in their lives and to make autonomous decisions about how they want to move forward. Through a supportive therapeutic relationship, which can undoutedly at times be challenging, I offer clients the opportunity to think together with me about, and perhaps reflect differently upon, those events and memories from their past that may be impacting on both their present day living and contributing to their expectations of the future.
