Hello, my name is Helen Wilson and I am a fully qualified fully insured Person Centred counsellor at The Quiet Sanctuary Leyland. I am passionate about helping people to achieve their goals through therapeutic means. I fully believe in the person centred approach that focuses on the client as the expert in their own lives, free to be completely autonomous and make decisions which are right for them, without fear of judgement from anyone else around them who might be influential. I do not offer any advice but i do listen and offer respect unconditionally. Helping you to feel like you again is my main priority, as in this current climate, life can be extremely challenging. 

Before qualifying as a counsellor, I was a teacher in the justice system and FE college for 13 years; therefore, I have vast experience of how stressful it can be, which is one if the many reasons I decided to become a counsellor.

As a counsellor I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, abuse, low self esteem, addiction, bereavement amongst many other life changing issues. I offer a safe, non judgmental space where you can come and work through any difficulties you might be facing to discover a path forwards that meets your needs.
