Fiona sinclair
Psychodynamic counsellorAbout Me
Hi my name is Fiona and I am a qualified counsellor and a member of the British Asssociation of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I work within the boundaries of their ethical framework.
I see individual people and couples of all ages with various emotional difficulties including depression, addiction, suicidal thoughts, emotional abuse ,physical abuse relationship issues ,divorce anger, low self-esteem amongst many others.
Therapy can be a support at difficult times in our lives and helps us to regain direction and give us clarity to the situation. It is a safe space where we work together exploring feelings and thoughts to gain better insight and understanding of ourselves and our emotional unmet needs.Through the process of talking therapy we can find healing our ultimately goal would be to ensure we live a more enriching and forfillig life.
I offer a dedicated compassionate empathatic support in a safe non-judgemental space which is a confidential enviroment to work through your presenting issues.
I am a Psychodynamically trained counsellor so my approach is based on the understanding that difficult past experiences can continue to effect the way we feel and influence the choices we make in the present ,sometimes unconsiously. I have also undertaken come Cognitive Behavioural Training so at times I may use a more pragmatic approach.
Understanding how hard it can be to make contact with a counsellor, please feel free to call or email me with any questions you may have. Alternatively we can arrange a one off session without commitment so we can meet and we can explore your situation and see if you feel that therapy would be beneficial for you.
