Fergus RossIntegrative counsellor
It takes courage to start working with a counsellor. You might just be curious about how and who you are, why you are behaving in ways others find difficult, or suffering as a consequence of difficult relationships at work or home. Whatever your discomfort my aim is to help you find a way to restore some understanding and confidence to deal with the people, behaviours, events, changes, and challenges, that your life presents.
I work with you directly; your experiences, feelings, concerns, anxieties, challenges, hopes, and potential. My approach helps you to raise, recognise, and resolve difficulties you might be experiencing. Good relationships help us to manage and maintain our mental health through changes and challenges. When those are not working for you, my work aims to help you find a way that you can understand and use to navigate your life.
To begin working together we need to arrange to meet and discuss your expectations from counselling and how we might best meet them. Two things are really important at this stage, that you want to explore changes for you, and that you and I can work together. This initial consultation is free.
Prior to qualifying as a counsellor I have worked in executive and leadership positions helping me to understand the struggles and stress associated with an ever demanding and insecure workplace. My work is integrative, this means working with a combination of techniques. Those techniques combine to help you investigate, learn, and change your situation through working within a defined model. It is all about gaining understanding and relating to enable the positive changes you seek.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping all I can when you are ready.
