Ernesto L.Brea
Integrative psychotherapistAbout Me
My name is Ernesto L. Brea, a UK-qualified, BACP-accredited, and registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist. With over 14 years of experience in Central London, I have now transitioned my practice entirely online, adapting to the changing needs brought about by the global pandemic.
How I Can Help
My clients or patients often struggle with the weight of past trauma, loss, or difficult childhood experiences, affecting their ability to form secure relationships. They may feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, depression, over-preoccupation, or fear.
I also work with those facing big life transitions who need support navigating these changes, as well as individuals seeking to improve communication in relationships—whether with partners, family, or work colleagues.
I have extensive experience working with diverse groups, including the LGBTQI+ community and minority ethnic populations. My background includes serving as a therapist at the sexual health clinic at 56 Dean Street, where I supported individuals dealing with complex issues related to sex, sexuality, and identity. I provide online therapy, allowing clients from all over the world to access support in a way that fits their lifestyle.
How do I work
A typical treatment plan with me begins by inviting you to share various aspects of your life. I’m interested in hearing about your current and past experiences, the meaningful people in your life, and your interests and aspirations. Together, we’ll explore these areas to get a true sense of who you are and gain a deeper, more sophisticated understanding of your current situation and your therapeutic needs.

I am fully registered and accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means that I abide by the ethical principles and guidelines laid down by the largest governing body that regulates Counselling and Psychotherapist in the UK.
A considerable number of people I work with have been referred to me by former clients, which is naturally satisfying. Of course, I'm always happy to speak with new clients about their needs and goals, and I welcome referrals from General Practitioners, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals, as well as insurance companies I am approved to work with, such as Aviva, Pruhealth, WPA and some BUPA divisions.
As a responsible therapist, I have personal experience with long-term therapy, and I am also committed to continuing professional development within the field of psychotherapeutic work.
