Emma Bradshaw
Person-centred/humanistic counsellorAbout Me
At times we all feel like something is not right, but we can't make sense of what it is that's wrong.
Or that we know what is going on, but it doesn't feel right to share it with the people closest to us because it might be hard for them to hear, they have their own stuff going on, or that we worry it will change the way they see us.
This is where counselling can make a difference.
As a counsellor, I have worked with a wide range of clients wishing to explore and tackle an array of matters including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, bereavement, anger, poor self-esteem, as well as those wishing to find a space for personal development or self-reflection and exploration.
I offer a space that is safe, secure and confidential to work with you to explore and understand your experiences at a pace that is right for you. I believe my role as a counsellor is to work in collaboration with you, to accompany you in that exploration, and to bring my experience and perspective to that process of help keep focus on the goals you have set.
As a person centred counsellor, it is my belief that you are the expert on your life, and that we all have the potential to develop into the person we want to be, if we have the right support and conditions for growth. It is my job to work with you to understand your world and experiences, with compassion, intelligence and with the outcome in mind of empowering you to make the choices that are right for you. I can also offer a range of other tools and techniques to support you including Mindfulness, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Hypnotherapy.
