Eliza Kopalak Psychosynthesis counsellor , SE1
My name is Eliza Kopalak. I am a qualified psychosythesis counsellor/psychotherapist working with individuals and couples in practices in South East London: Brockley/New Cross SE14 and London Bridge SE1. I am particularly experienced supporting adults, facing all kinds of challenges and issues related to anxiety, self- esteem, relationships, career, body symptoms, failure/success concepts, emotional pain, sexuality, purpose and meaning, burn out, empowerment, loss and bereavement. I practice from rooms in Brockley, Peckham Rye and London Bridge.
To ensure the safety of my practice I am committed to my own professional and personal developmental as well as regular supervision with a highly experienced colleague. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their Ethical Framework.
In addition to my private practice I worked as an Honorary Counsellor, seeing bereaved clients in St Joseph Hospice in East London and in NHS in East Dulwich.
Psychosythesis is an integrative and transpersonal psychological approach, particularly focusing on human potential. It takes into account the physical, emotional, spiritual and mental dimensions in which we exist; facilitates access to wisdom and intuition and fosters a healthy self-esteem.
I strongly believe that problems are actually opportunities for growth - stepping stones to a more meaningful, fulfilling and authentic life and relationships.
We are often stuck with the way we act and see ourselves and the world, we become identified with the ideas, and beliefs we grew up with. These concepts are imprinted in our minds and, only when we realise them, can we set ourselves free. In the process of therapy we question and challenge the way we look at things, to arrive at a new perspective. This is how we discover our potential and become who we really are.
'No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it'. Albert Einstein
With embodied presence and compassionate kindness I will hold, support and guide you on that journey. I encourage you to give yourself a chance and take the first step.
After an initial contact by e-mail or phone we will arrange a session as soon as we can. Our first meeting is a time to get to know each other. It is an opportunity to ask questions about my approach or the process of counselling and for us to explore what brings you to therapy at this moment. By the time we end the session we should have an idea whether we want to work together.
