About Me

Healthy relationships are so important in our lives. They open up our hearts and allow us a sense of feeling fulfilled and content.

If you would like to understand your self or your relationships with others better, our sessions can help you to explore what’s going on. - to be able to move toward acceptance or maybe change.

Maybe you feel anxious, depressed or overwhelmed, have experienced loss or are struggling with low esteem or confidence.  Or you’re not sure why you are feeling unfulfilled. You may want to make sense of your feelings and responses to allow yourself to make some positive changes.  Perhaps you feel the need to please others, rather than fulfilling your own needs.

Whatever your issues, therapy can be challenging and sometimes fun.  It can simply be about ongoing maintenance.  Expect empathy, compassion and down to earth support from me, in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

Since working with Elaine, I now catch myself thinking in different ways.  I used to try and fit in and do what others expected.  In the last few months I have become me."  L.W (Client testimonial).

Using supportive and practical approaches, I work with people to help them feel heard, understood and heal in ways they would like.

I have seen at first hand how the right therapy can enable us to experience more meaning and contentment - often through small but consistent changes over time.

In addition to offering personal therapy, I can also combine counselling with coaching, offering tools including communication techniques - to help you to manage and grow.

I also work emotionally and practically with clients living with traits associated with ADHD.

I offer an integration of talking therapies so I can adapt to what is best suited to you.  Including; behavioural therapy to address your thoughts and actions, exploring your past experiences and their impact now, and coping with the here and now.

Our initial consultation will look at your areas of concern, your goals and relevant history will be taken.
