About Me

As an Accredited therapist with the BACP, I am well placed to support you in making changes you would like. In so doing, you can connect your thoughts and feelings and feel better about yourself. Maybe you feel anxious, depressed or overwhelmed, have experienced loss or are struggling with low esteem or confidence.  Or you’re not sure why you are feeling unfulfilled. You may want to make sense of your feelings and responses to allow yourself to make some positive changes.  Perhaps you feel the need to please others, rather than fulfilling your own needs.  Exploring relationships in your life may be what you are looking to do now.

Whatever your issues, therapy can be challenging and sometimes fun.  It can simply be about ongoing maintenance.  Expect empathy, compassion and down to earth support from me, in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

Since working with Elaine, I now catch myself thinking in different ways.  I used to try and fit in and do what others expected.  In the last few months I have become me."  L.W (Client testimonial).

Prior to qualifying I helped clients to develop their people skills.  Using supportive and practical approaches, I now work with people to help them feel heard, understood and heal in ways they would like.

I have seen at first hand how the right therapy can enable us to experience more meaning, contentment and fulfillment - often through small but consistent changes over time.

In addition to offering personal therapy, I can also combine counselling with coaching, offering tools including communication techniques - to help you to manage and grow.

I work emotionally and practically with clients living with traits associated with ADHD.

I offer an integration of talking therapies so I can adapt to what is best suited to you.  Including CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy for behavioural change), humanistic (acceptance and free will) and psychodynamic therapy (impact from our past).

Our initial consultation will look at your areas of concern, your goals and relevant history will be taken.
