Elaine MarkidouIntegrative counsellor
My aim is to support individuals who are struggling with their life to find hope and purpose.
You may be feeling anxious, depressed or experienced a loss of some kind. It may be an end of a relationship, a job or a bereavement. Not knowing how to deal with these feelings and emotions can be overwhelming. At times it can be challenging and difficult to ask for help.
Here are a few good reasons to how Counselling can help you
* Getting things off your chest: Talking to someone who listens without judgement can lead to a sense of unburdening
* Learning coping methods: Skills learnt while working with your counsellor can help you find new ways of dealing with situations
* Awareness and insights: Learning about yourself and behaviors may help your choices in the future
I suggest a weekly basis for the first 12 sessions. However, the amount of sessions will depend on you. Some individuals choose to have long term counselling allowing them to explore their issues further.
