Eileen Wise Integrative counsellor , CO10

I am an integrative counsellor. Before starting my own practice, I worked as a volunteer counsellor for Mind, the mental health charity and as a volunteer student counsellor at a Further Education College in Suffolk where I saw students from 16 years of age and older.

I am a member of the BACP, (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) – the largest accredited body for counsellors in the UK and I abide by their ethical framework.

Before becoming a counsellor I had a long career in the media and lived in London for many years and spent a couple of years in New York.  I was born and brought up in Suffolk so when leaving my London life it really was "coming home".

I have been a volunteer for various charities over the years, ranging from a homeless centre in London to a Sue Ryder charity - to name just two. I bring a great deal of life experience to my therapeutic work and I understand the stresses and worries of everyday living.

I am lucky to live on a farm in a beautiful rural location, which provides a quiet and peaceful environment to work with my clients.

I love counselling and really enjoy my work.

My experience as a counsellor includes:

Depression and anxiety

Panic attacks

Stress Low self-esteem/lack of confidence

Feelings of loneliness and isolation

Relationship issues and family difficulties

Sexual Abuse

Domestic related violence

Anger issues

Young people 16+ years
