Diana Simpson-HindsFamily/Systemic psychotherapist
Have you found that parenting your teen has become increasingly difficult? Do you feel that your teen is drifting away from you? Do you have concerns about their behaviour or mental health?
Hello, my name is Diana Simpson-Hinds, I am a psychotherapist and the owner of Blooming Families online counselling service. I help parents and teens who are struggling with their relationships. As you know, the transition from childhood to adolescence can be a challenging journey. As a parent, you have recognised the physical changes of your son or daughter as they have grown. However, the internal battle caused by hormonal changes, peer pressure, feelings of low self-esteem, anxiety, and their struggle to find their place in the world is not easily identified. You might also be going through your transitions whether financial, emotional, relational, health, and aging, which all add pressure on your relationship.
My personal and professional knowledge as a therapist, parent, and nanny of three granddaughters motivates me to help parents and their teenage children because I understand both, based on what they have shared with me as their therapist.
At Blooming Families, the aim is to help strengthen the parent-child relationship and guide your teen to achieve their potential. I help you build a better relationship with your teen by listening to your individual stories. When we feel listened to or heard it helps to trust each other. I validate your feelings, experiences, and work with you to set goals to make the change you want.
It is hard being a parent or a teen, and life can be tuff at times, but it is then we can benefit from talking to someone who is non judgemental and I am here to listen!
