Life is not always easy. Even the strongest people need a bit of help to work through some of the more challenging problems life throws at us. Everyone has battles and hurdles to overcome at some point. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationhsip problems, or many other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow. As someone who has been through the mill myself, I know people, especially men, are hesitant about seeking out help and support for emotional issues, but when you do, you will feel confident that you are taking a first step towards getting to a better place, to being a mentally fitter you.
Many people work with me because they are facing difficulties, where frustration is the dominant feeling that underpins a series of symptoms. I help people understand how and why that frustration is so controlling, and how it is holding them back and understand what needs to happen to reclaim their lives.
Counselling should be a transformational conversation; which means we must work together. I do not sit quietly; we work collaboratively. My counselling approach is simple: we reflect on your experiences to understand what is going on and why; it is only when we have understanding that we are able to move forward with effective actions.
We have a conversation in which I will gently challenge you, provide feedback, offer advice and help identify and develop valuable life skills during the sessions; all the time looking to your future while being guided by the past.
