Claire Booth
Person-centred/humanistic counsellorAbout Me
Hi, I'm Claire and I'm a counsellor who works both face to face and online.
For my face to face appointments I work from some lovely and discrete therapy rooms in South Manchester, usually on a Wednesday afternoon/evening but I can also do some appointments there on a Saturday morning.
I am experienced in working online, via Skype or by telephone call. This means that you can access counselling from your own home or from your preferred location, whilst I can be flexible with appointment times and can offer evening and weekend appointments.
Sometimes in life we may experience difficulties, issues or events that cause us distress, confusion and a whole range of feelings that we do not feel comfortable with. By making the decision to engage with counselling, you are taking a step towards helping yourself with these feelings and can become more self aware as a result.
I'm a person centred counsellor, which means that I work in a non directive manner. If you decide to work with me, we will use the safe confines of the therapeutic relationship to explore any issues and difficulties that you may be experiencing. This can be an emotional process but ultimately, helps to untangle confusing feelings, can help you to reach acceptance and empower you to move forward.
I work with a wide range of issues so please contact me if you feel we could work together. However, I have specific experience in working with individuals who experience gender variance and their families, as well as the area of bereavement and loss, sexual assault, depression and anxiety, infertility and miscarriage.
