Ciro CambuliPsychodynamic psychotherapist
MA English, MA Couns. & Psychotherapy, Adv Prof. Dip. Therapeutic Counselling, MBACP (Accred) and Registered.
Besides my private practice, my experience in psychotherapy and counselling includes the NHS (two years) a bereavement service (seven years), the charity sector and adult education (three years).
Counselling or psychotherapy doesn't have to be a last resort attempt at making sense of what is happening in your life, it can also be a great tool for personal development. I work with individuals, couples or groups in South London, Clapham, Brixton, Streatham.
I offer a supportive and safe space where you can discuss anything in confidence.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP Accred) and Registered. You can find me on BACP website under find a therapist. I abide by their code of ethics for good practice.
I am also a recognised provider of treatment as a Psychotherapist with Nuffield Health.
The way that I work draws on various approaches and works in accordance to the client's needs, leading towards a greater understanding of the self and how to enjoy life and relationships better.
In short term counselling of 6 to 12 sessions the work can be focused on managing your problem in the here-and-now without the need to explore your past in more detail.
In long term psychotherapy (open-ended contract) the work can be more explorative and will entail revisiting your past in order to make sense of the present and to gain a deeper understanding of your life experiences.
My practice is based in Brixton, where I am able to offer some daytime and some evening appointments, and at the Clapham Common Clinic on Saturday.
