Cashel RIORDAN
Person-centred/humanistic therapistAbout Me
I see my role is to provide a secure confidential environment for you. One where you feel safe and where you can relax sufficiently to be able to talk about those things that are causing you some concern at this particular time. I will be supporting you to slowly begin to take some risks and be more of the person you want to be.
I work from an upstairs counselling room at my family home in New Malden, near Kingston, where I am happy to see adults and couples plus young adults 16+. I work both short-term and long-term face-to-face for as long as you feel the need to see me. My theoretical approach is Person Centred which means that I focus on you as a person and all that makes you what you currently are.
I see clients for diverse issues including couple counselling and relationship issues, anxiety, generalised anxiety, depression, sexual issues, addictions and dreams.
As well as my private practice, I counsel one day a week refugees and asylum seekers and have also worked in a university counselling students and graduates and in a number of hospitals counselling all groups of staff.
Previously I worked as a Human Resources Manager and am knowledgeable on employment law and employment policies should you have any work related issues that you would like to talk about.
I look forward to hearing from you , either to set up an appointment or to answer any questions you may have.
Generally, I am available daytime and evenings Monday to Wednesday and Friday, sometimes on Thursdays and not on weekends.
New Malden mainline station is nearby + good bus connections. Trains and buses call at Wimbledon tube and train station which is 6 minutes away.
