What is psychotherapy? Psyche in Latin means soul. Therapy in Latin means healing. Sometimes it helps to keep it simple. Psychotherapy is an opportunity to freely express yourself and explore your issues in a safe space to bring about healing, change, balance or completion. Healing can sometimes be as simple as talking.
I am an integrative practitioner and draw upon various styles of talking therapy. However, the core of my practice is based on Person-Centred Counselling, Gestalt Therapy and Jungian Psychology. My background is in mental health working for the NHS for five years in acute psychiatry.
