Aylin Darwin
Psychodynamic psychotherapistAbout Me
I am a London-based psychotherapist and have experience of working for large mental health charities and in community mental health settings providing support for vulnerable adults and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for several commercial companies in various roles and so understand the stress and pressures of working for large organisations.
I work with people experiencing a range of emotional challenges including depression, anxiety, trauma, work stress, life transitions or family and relationship issues. I have a particular interest in the emotional difficulties of migrants, refugees and other displaced persons.
I view each of my clients as unique and valuable, and am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and reflective space to help them work through any difficulties.
I employ a psychodynamic approach in my practice. This enables me to help people increase their ability to understand their feelings and relationships with others, and work to improve their experience of life. I help my clients to understand the underlying motives behind their behaviour and emotions and give them an opportunity for positive and lasting change.
