Arabel Charlaff
Psychodynamic psychotherapistAbout Me
I'm an accredited and experienced psychotherapist. I offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space in which you can begin to understand your experiences, modify old patterns and identify new possibilities.
I have experience of working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures and across all age groups. It’s my belief that many issues stem from difficulties in relating, and for this reason I see relationships as central to my work.
During the coronavirus outbreak, I am offering phone/Zoom sessions.

Fees
I operate a sliding scale, meaning that the fees are set in relation to ability to pay and are individually negotiated. As a guide, fees normally average between £45 and £65.
Training and qualifications
I completed a four-year training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at WPF Therapy, gaining a BACP-accredited postgraduate diploma with distinction. Alongside my private practice, I worked for several years within the NHS at the City and Hackney Specialist Psychotherapy Service. I currently work at Queen Mary University within the student advice and counselling service. I’ve taught on the WPF clinical qualification course, and currently teach their foundation certificate.
I am a registered member of the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and the FPC (Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling) and adhere to these associations' professional codes of ethics.
